This poem is about my experience of feeling alone most of my life, despite having friends. It describes my sharp reaction to rejection (real or perceived), and also talks about my internal struggle with really trusting people or letting them in to my genuine self. It resolves with God explaining to me that my expectations on other people are unrealistic, unfair, and hypocritical; ultimately I fall short too, and my relational healing with others begins with my relational healing with Him.
